Blown-in insulation in Hemet CA - an even layer from the middle to the edges
Hot rooms upstairs and a power bill that keeps climbing, fixed with loose fill blown to an even depth across your whole attic.

Is blown-in insulation right for my Hemet attic?
Blown-in insulation is loose fill, usually cellulose or fiberglass, that we blow through a hose across the floor of your attic, and for a lot of Hemet homes it's the simplest fix for hot rooms upstairs and a power bill that won't come down.
Most people call because one room never cools off, the room over the garage is an oven, or the bill keeps creeping up, and when I climb into the attic I usually find a few inches of old, settled insulation and gaps letting air straight through. The price mostly comes down to the size of the attic, how many inches are already up there, whether old material has to come out first and how much sealing it needs, and the schedule turns on whatever has to be fixed before we blow anything in, like a roof leak or old wiring. That's why we start with attic air sealing on most jobs, and why the estimate I write lays out your job step by step before you commit to anything.
What our blown-in insulation work includes
I learned in restaurant kitchens that the prep decides how the dish turns out, and an attic works the same way, so the blowing comes last. First we look for leaks, wet spots and droppings, because fresh material over a soaked or dirty layer just buries the problem. Then we seal the gaps around can lights, pipes, wires and the attic hatch, and set baffles, short chutes that hold insulation back from the eave vents, so the attic keeps breathing. What matters most after that is getting the material to the right depth and even across the whole attic, right out to the edges where the roof comes down low, so we check the depth as we go and show you at the end.
Sometimes blowing more on top isn't the right call. If the old insulation is wet, moldy or full of rodent droppings, insulation removal comes first, and we'd rather clear it out than cover it up. If the attic is only part of what's wrong, like cold floors over a crawl space or walls that were never filled, we'll talk about home insulation as a whole so you can fix things in a sensible order.
Blown-in insulation, permits and older attics around Hemet
Permits in Hemet come from the city's Building & Safety Division, which reviews plans and sends inspectors out to check that work meets its standards, and new permit applications now go through its online portal. Whether a blown-in attic job needs a permit isn't something I'd guess at from the driveway, so the division is the place to ask. When a job calls for one, we take care of it with the city before the work starts and plan our schedule around the inspection.
A lot of the houses we get into around here are older, with flattened insulation, gaps around old can lights and ductwork running across the attic floor, so most jobs need sealing and some clearing before the new layer goes in. We see the same attics on jobs in San Jacinto and East Hemet.

Call or send us the form
You call (951) 484-2035 or fill out the form, any day from 7 AM to 10 PM, and we set a time for me to come out. Tell me about the hot room or the high bill so I know where to start looking.
I come look at the attic
I come out myself and take photos of the depth that's up there now, the gaps, the vents and the wiring. Then we go through the pictures together so you see your own attic before you spend anything.
Read your written estimate
Your written estimate lists the steps in order, anything that has to be fixed first and your choices in plain words. That way you know what you're paying for and why it comes in that order.
Our crew does the work
On work day our lead installer and crew prep the house, then seal, blow and clean up the way the estimate laid out. After that I go over the finished attic with you.

Questions before you book blown-in insulation
How much does blown-in attic insulation cost around Riverside?
Attic insulation in the Riverside area usually runs about $1,500 to $5,000 per job, and that's the going range for attic insulation in general, not our price. Where your attic lands depends on its size, how much is already up there, and whether old material has to come out or a lot of sealing comes first. The estimate I write after seeing your attic lays out your job step by step.
Does an insulation contractor need a license in California?
Yes, for almost any paid attic job. California's licensing board counts anyone who installs insulating material for temperature or sound control as an insulation contractor, and an unlicensed person can only take minor work under $1,000 that needs no permit and has no helpers. Ask to see the license before anyone climbs into your attic.
What happens before blown-in insulation goes in?
The gaps through the attic floor get sealed first, and a quote should cover that sealing as well as the insulation. A federal best-practice checklist also calls for old knob and tube wiring, the early cloth-covered kind, to be replaced or properly boxed, and for work to stop if the old insulation is vermiculite, since it may contain asbestos. The same guidance has the attic checked for leaks, pest damage and ventilation, bath fans routed outside, and a combustion safety test, a check that exhaust doesn't spill back into the house, in homes with natural draft gas equipment like an older water heater.
Why does even depth matter with blown-in insulation?
Thin spots and thin edges are where the heat gets through. Federal guidance says loose fill should be blown to the insulation maker's recommended density, because blowing it too light, what installers call fluffing, lets it settle more and leaves you a lower R-value, which is how well insulation slows heat. It also calls for even depth across the whole ceiling out to the top of the walls, so ask any installer how they reach the right density.
How long does blown-in insulation take, and do we have to leave the house?
Most of the time you can stay home, and the blowing itself is usually the shorter part of the day, with kids and pets just kept clear of the hatch and the hose. How long we're there depends on the sealing, cleanout and repairs that come first, which your estimate spells out. Spray foam is different and comes with a re-entry time, when it's safe to come back inside, so if foam is part of your plan we'll go over that wait before work day.
What is the best way to insulate a Hemet attic, blown-in or spray foam?
For most attics, sealing the gaps and topping up with blown-in insulation usually wins. Foam costs more and seals air while it insulates, so I lean toward it when the ductwork lives up in the attic and closing that space off matters more. If that's your house, I'll lay out both on the estimate, and you can read more about spray foam insulation before then.

In business since 2013
I've run this business since 2013, so I've seen what happens when someone blows new insulation over a buried vent or a wet layer. Thirteen years of that is why I'd rather slow down on the prep than rush to the part you can see.
Tidy house, satisfaction guaranteed
Our crew covers the floors under the hatch and cleans up before we go, because loose fill drifts if nobody's watching it. Satisfaction guaranteed on every job.
With blown-in insulation, the work nobody sees decides how well the layer on top does its job. Reach us through our contact page and I'll come take a look at your attic.
